David Hemenway's art ranges from comic book-style, to fine portraits, to emotional themes each completed with a sense of realism and drama. In his work, David hopes to create interest in the subtle and not-so-mysterious symbols placed therein.

David’s main goal as an artist is growth. Like the spiral shell that represents his body of work, David is continuously building upon the past, taking the lessons learned from each piece and applying it to the next. He believes this growth will continue throughout his entire life.

Mr. Hemenway graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn., with a bachelor's degree in studio art. While he mainly works as a digital artist, he is skilled in traditional tools such as pencil, pen and ink, and acrylic paint. He also is adept at building miniature models and 3-D environment design.

David Hemenway strives to learn a new skill every year. This drive to possess “almost useless” party tricks and abilities help him maintain a sharp mind and fresh attitude. His list of skills include  (but is not limited to) unicycling, Rubik’s Cube, juggling, marathon running, skydiving, and Taekwondo. The artist lives with his dog, Jake Fox, in St. Cloud, MN.
